Well, I'm Back!
Turns out this blog which supposed to be my "daily blog" become "that blog" which I'm gonna use for Assignment Purposes :))
Ironic, but here it is.
So the deal is I have to write something about monocotyledon due to my failure in one of my Exam ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
So the first time I heard about Monocotyledons is maybe in my 5th grade in the Elementary. Jadi dikelas 5 SD sepertinya saya mendengar istilah Monokotiledon. Pengertian yang saya percayai, or the Simplified version of its Definition is Plant that has Single Seed Pieces, tumbuhan yang bijinya berkeping tunggal. That definition stays with me until now I've sat on 2nd Year of my College.
Thus as the time goes on my acknowledgement about Monocotyledon obviously increased.
Monocotyledons are plants that have only one cotyledon. Cotyledons are a significant part of the embryo found in a seed.
They are the first parts of a seedling to emerge from the soil when it germinates. They also have other characteristics, such as flower parts in multiples of threes. monokotil merupakan sebagai tumbuhan yang bagian bijinya tunggal atau mono atau tak berkeping.
But whatever it is, Monokotil atau dikotil tumbuhan itu ga penting jika anda bukan seorang biologist (like me) so you're not morally obligated to know that This plant is Monocotyl and This plant is Dicotyl!!! No, don't worry :3
but to fed your curiosity here are the comparison between monoctyl plant and dicotyl plant, and what can represent and explaination better than the Infographic themselves. (*kedok padahal karena malas mengetik)
DID YOU KNOW?
Monocots comprise one-quarter of all flowering plants species.
They include some of the largest and most familiar groups of plants, including lilies, orchids, agaves, palms, and grasses. They are quite diverse, ranging from tiny duckweeds to large palms and climbing vines.
Economically, monocots are perhaps the most important organisms on Earth.
Our four most important foodscorn, rice, wheat, and barley all come from monocots. Bamboo and palms are a primary source of building materials and fibers in many tropical countries. Sugar cane, pineapples, dates, bananas, and many of our familiar tropical fruits also come from monocots. Jadi monokotil termasuk banyak muncul di dalam komoditi pangan, juga tanaman hias konvensional.
Well I think that's all somethings worth to know about Monocotyledon. If you wanted to know more and perhaps looking for personal assitances with distinguishing Monoctots and Dicots you know how to contact me 😜
Here some mini game-activities about monocots vs dicots you might find interesting http://jmgkids.us/kids-zone/jmgkidsweb/monocotvsdicot/
